Before Burn Treatment
The planning of the treatment of the burn patient is made as patient-specific. The type of injury, exposure time, time elapsed after the injury, the interventions applied during this period, other accompanying injuries, and the general condition of the patient form the treatment plan.
During Burn Treatment
Early and late evaluation of burn patients will be different from each other. In the acute period, in other words, in the early period, to protect the vital functions of the patient, to clean the burned tissues quickly and to close the wounds are the priorities.
The late period is the treatment of sequelae after the wounds have healed. These sequelae are usually scar tissue and its consequences.
After Burn Treatment
Burns are generally accepted as the most severe trauma. Both physical and psychological sequelae release is possible. Burn patients should be followed up for years.
