CLOSED RHINOPLASTY
The closed rhinoplasty is a rhinoplasty technique that is performed without incision in the columella. In closed rhinoplasty, there are incisions and sutures in the mucous membranes inside the nose. With closed rhinoplasty, it is possible to reach and shape the entire bone and cartilage structure.
It is possible to perform closed septorhinoplasty by adding septum surgery in the closed surgery technique. The closed rhinoplasty may not be preferred in severely deformed noses that have had previous operations or accidents.

Before Closed Rhinoplasty
A detailed consultation with the patient is required before closed rhinoplasty. Can be benefited from various simulations.
Patients who are planned for closed rhinoplasty should definitely inform their physician about the medicines and herbal products used before the surgery.
During Closed Rhinoplasty
Closed rhinoplasty or closed septorhinoplasty is an operation that takes approximately 2 hours under general anesthesia. During the surgery, the bone roof and cartilages are shaped.
In the appropriate patient, the nose can be shaped by protecting the nasal dorsum. The surgeon will decide whether to use tampons and plaster during the operation.
After Closed Rhinoplasty
Patients recover quickly after closed rhinoplasty. The pain is not much. 5-7 days of rest is sufficient. There may also be edema and bruising after closed rhinoplasty surgery. It is necessary to wait at least 6 months, ideally 1 year, for the shape of the nose to be fully settled.
