Before Breast Reduction Aesthetics

Breast reduction surgery provides advantage to the women, who have large breasts, both aesthetically and medically. In addition to their unaesthetic appearance, large breasts cause skin diseases such as waist and neck ailments, sunken shoulders, dermatitis and fungus, etc.

These complaints can be eliminated with breast reduction surgery. Preoperative radiological examinations are required for the patients who have a family history of breast cancer. It is appropriate to perform breast reduction surgery at least 6 months after breastfeeding is completed.

During Breast Reduction Aesthetics

Breast reduction surgery is performed under general anesthesia.The surgery takes about two and a half to three hours. According to the preference of the surgeon, a reverse T or vertical incision is planned. This determines the scar that will remain.

Breast reduction surgery can also be combined with other surgeries. As the most frequent ones, the tummy tuck or liposuction is performed together with breast reduction surgery.

After Breast Reduction Aesthetics

Not much pain is expected after breast reduction surgery. Patients can quickly return to their daily life. After breast reduction surgery, it is necessary to wait a month for swimming, weight training and other sports in which the upper body is active.

Simple exercises and walking are recommended two weeks after the surgery. There is no increase in the risk of breast cancer after breast reduction surgery.
