MEDICAL AESTHETICS > FILLING APPLICATIONS
LIP FILLER
Lip filler is one of the most common aesthetic applications. The purpose of lip filler is to give shape and volume to the lips. The most commonly used fillers are those that contain hyaluronic acid. Fillers that contain hyaluronic acid are temporary and safe.
Small additions can be made during the check ups, and lip fillers can be melted when desired. In order to add volume to the lips, the own fat tissue of the patient can also be used, even rarely.

Before Lip Filler
A physical examination is performed in details before planning the lip filler. The balance of the lower and upper lips, their own symmetry, available volume and harmony with the facial structure are noted. It is important that patients for whom the lip filler is planned do not consume blood thinners, herbal teas and supplements before the procedure.
It would be better to avoid radical changes in patients undergoing lip filler for the first time. If deemed necessary, larger volumes can be targeted in the future.
During Lip Filler
Lip filler is a procedure that takes approximately 15 minutes, and it is performed in doctor’s office conditions. Topical anesthesia is usually sufficient before lip filler. Often, gel-like fillers containing hyaluronic acid are injected into the lip.
After Lip Filler
There may be edema and bruising after lip filler application. Passes in 2-3 days. Even rarely, there are small agglomerations due to the filler and these will disappear over time. Lip filler that is performed by using temporary fillings lasts for 6-18 months depending on the drug selected.
While the desired volume and shape of the lips are obtained after lip filler, the lips are also moisturized with hyaluronic acid content of the filler.
