FACE FAT INJECTION AESTHETICS
As we age, both the bone and fatty tissue on our face regress, against this, the skin becomes abundant and sags under the influence of gravity. By filling the discharged areas, the face is lifted and a younger and more positive expression is provided.
If the discharged areas are in small volumes, it is possible to achieve this with ready-made fillings, particularly hyaluronic acid. However, for larger areas, it is impractical to administer large amounts of foreign substance.
It may be more accurate to fill these clearances with fat that is taken from the body, particularly in patients with excess volume deficiency or those who do not want foreign substances. This process is called face fat injection.

Before Face Fat Injection Aesthetics
The deficiencies, asymmetries and skin quality on the face of the patient are noted in the examination that is performed before the fat injection. Although the fat injection is often applied to add volume, it also helps to regenerate the skin by depending on the characteristics of the fat cells.
In appropriate patients, the thinned fat can also be used for skin rejuvenation in more superficial plans. It is possible to soften and lighten the color of these tissues, particularly with fat injections administered into thick and scarred tissues on the face due to burns or other traumas.
During Face Fat Injection Aesthetics
Face fat injection is usually planned in combination with an operation such as liposuction that is performed under general anesthesia. If general liposuction is not considered, but if face fat injection is planned, then sedation and local anesthesia may be sufficient.
Fat for injection is taken from the body of the patient from the most appropriate places. Often the lower abdomen, sides of the waist, hips or inside the knees are preferred. The extracted fat is filtered, thinned and injected with fine cannulas at the right depth at the planned places on the face.
The most common areas of fat injection on the face are the forehead, the top of the cheekbones, the tip of the chin, and the lips.
After Face Fat Injection Aesthetics
Edema may last for 1 week after face fat injection. Patients return to their daily lives within 10 days. There may be a slight decrease in the administered fat grafts over time.
However, the main problem is the ongoing shrinkage of the facial bones and soft tissues during the natural process of aging. As a result of this, in order to preserve the post-operative shape of the face, the face fat injection may be planned again in the following years.
